Teaching Physics at Junior High School
I am a physics teacher who taught in SMP Negeri 2 Ngimbang, Lamongan, East Java, Indonesia. And for this semester I am teaching in class VIII. And this week I have to teach Chapter Vibrations and Waves. One of the physics is very interesting for us to learn.
To help me explain the material in class, I used to use the media LCD Projector. And of course I should have some interesting files to be presented in class. In the selection of materials, I more tend to like the files in the form of images, video and flash. There is a 'powerpoint' but if we teach in class by using the 'powerpoint' students will tend to get bored with our study, because only from the slide show that we prepared earlier.
When teaching physics, I prefer to bring students into the world of 'real' rather than just playing in space physics are fictitious. So I often use examples in everyday life that refers to the material that I described in class.
I take an example for the material wave, then I have to present some images waves in everyday life. So I have to provide the images associated with the wave. And for the source of the files I usually look on the internet.
With this article, it is expected of teachers, students, educators, and tutors tutoring can share and share teaching experiences with me, so for our long term goal will be teacher qualified in teaching.
